North Avenue Animal Hospital was founded in 1957 by the late Dr. Bohdan Tkaczuk and was located across the street from our present facility.  Dr. Roman Tkaczuk joined his father in practice in 1983 and became owner in 1990 when his father retired.  By that time, our practice had grown significantly and more space was needed.  After many years of planning and hard work, we built and moved into our new and larger facility in the spring of 1998 where we are currently located.

As the neighborhood continued to change and grow, so did our hospital.  We are currently a four doctor practice with a total staff of about fifteen employees.  We are proud of our long history of quality small animal medicine and surgery, and client oriented customer service.
